FADING
Ever since I came into this world, my connection with Chongqing has steadily grown. In 1997, Chongqing was granted the prestigious title of the fourth municipality in China, marking a significant milestone for the city. Chongqing has since undergone remarkable transformations.
There is a popular saying that growth is a constant process, yet it sometimes comes at the cost of losing something precious. As our city experiences rapid expansion, towering skyscrapers now surround many old houses. The landscape is continuously evolving as new developments take shape.
However, old residential areas, which hold countless memories and represent a bygone era are gradually being dismantled. This realization fuels my desire to make work with collected furniture in the old building and replace the part with glass to freeze the fading beauty of old Chongqing before it vanishes completely.
