Finding new nature

our modern society
Yuxi Lu is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice traverses installation, contemporary jewelry and photography. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in Belgium.
Lu's artistic practice explores the symbiotic relationship between industrial civilization and nature within the Anthropocene. Through deconstruction and reconstitution, she subverts the conventional functions of materials to reimagine the cultural imprints and vital tensions embedded within matter across time.
Her works have been presented in international exhibitions, including Dutch Design Week, the Gallery Marzee Graduation Show, and Munich Jewelry Week. She has been awarded the BKV Prize and the Outstanding Graduate Award from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, and a number of her pieces are held in private collections.
